Mt. Carmel and La Sagesse

Our week of fun continued on Wednesday and I finally took the family to the East side of the island.  We made the drive over to Mt. Carmel Falls with Julie and Phyllis and we enjoyed the fairly easy hike to the tallest falls in Grenada.  I had been here once before, but it never gets old.

Bet you didn't know there were mermaids in Grenada!

Then we hiked over to the rock slide waterfall where Mom even went down the rock slide!!

Back from our hike!
After finishing our hike, we drove over to La Sagesse Beach to eat our packed lunches and enjoy the sunshine and salt water.  We were so lucky to have such beautiful weather all week long!

We got home in the late afternoon and got ready for a really nice dinner at the Beach House.  Josh was actually able to attend and I actually ordered the filet (Josh was so proud).

Thanks Mom and Dad for an absolutely wonderful dinner!  You spoiled us so much on your trip to Grenada.

Jump Around

This week has been JAM PACKED with things to do!  Which explains why my blog has fallen to the wayside.  Don't worry though, I plan to do lots of catching up over the weekend.

Yesterday, the SO's went to La Sagesse Beach.  This was my second trip there and after going again, I wondered why I haven't gone again sooner.  I love this beach!  La Sagesse is beautiful.  The day was perfect, the breeze felt great, and minus my husband, all of my other favorite people on the island were there.

Kelsey and I walked the sand and found lots of cool beach finds. Including this teeny tiny conch shell. I love it!
And I really love that Kelsey girl too!  What can I say, she's growing on me. :)  Too bad she leaves in December.
Then things started to get a little silly.  Kelsey and I have this "high burst" shutter speed on our camera.  So we started to "jump around" a bit.

Yup, this girl has still got it.
It was pretty hilarious.  But maybe you had to be there.

I finished off the day with a little palm tree swingin'.

The SO's had such a great time.  I think there were 27 SO's and 10 kids that came.  What a turnout!  I am going to promise myself I won't wait 3 months before I go back to La Sagesse again.

La Sagesse

Friday morning Josh had his first midterm of term 3.  It went well.  Yay!  And to celebrate the test being over, we went with a bunch of our friends to La Sagesse beach (pronounced La Sa Jess).  It's basically a private cove lined with palm trees about a 25 minute drive from where we live.  Besides the drive (which makes Josh a little car sick), it is a GREAT beach.  The water was super warm, shallow for a quite a while, and with enough waves to keep it interesting.  It was an amazing day with some awesome friends.

The kids were having a blast all day!  There sure are some water babies here. :)

And I finally got a picture of a lizard.  They are all over the place, but man those things run fast.  I've tried to take a picture multiple times!
The big boys played some football.

While the girls and the kids enjoyed the water and each other.

We will definitely be making more trips over to La Sagesse.  We are so thankful to our friends who went with us and showed us how to get there!
